The Den - Winchelsea Town, Near Rye

Positive: Clean. Well appointed kitchen facilities Negative: No workable internet Confusing directions from booking .com site

Nice private property shame about the lack of WiFi Positive: Location. Privacy. Short drive to Rye. Short walk to Winchelsea and train station. Comfy and clean with a good selection of kitchen appliances ( microwave, airfryer, toaster fridge and freezer. Negative: 1. The directions from the booking.com website were poor and confusing with the Google maps link taking us to a group of houses on the opposite side of the road 200m closer to Rye. 2. Although Wifi was advertised it did not function. Not only did this mean we had no internet connectivity for our phones and other tech it also meant a limited range of channels and services available on the smart TV as it had no internet connection. Although we really liked the property we would probably not stop there again for this reason. No problem if you are looking for a tranquil romantic stay off grid!

Perfect get-away break. Would have appreciated notice of the road closures on arrival day which resulted in parking the car half a mile away and walking in with the cases. Appreciate that was a one-off but not a great start to the break. Accomodation excellent.

Lovely , peaceful chalet. Positive: Perfect spot for a weekend break for one Negative: Communication with the host could have been more subjective-- just automated emails.
